DEDICATED STEWARD

A Lifelong Legacy

I am Robert Bruce, and serving our community is my life's mission. After growing up in La Porte and finishing high school in 2002, I moved to League City and discovered my passion for healthcare. I studied at San Jacinto College and launched my medical service path in 2004 by volunteering as an EMT. For twenty years, I have worked tirelessly within emergency services, taking on higher stakes and complex leadership duties. I shifted from volunteering to a professional role in 2009, becoming a full-time staff member by 2013. My certification as a Paramedic came in 2015, followed by a series of leadership milestones where I eventually served as a Shift Captain for half a decade. Beyond managing daily emergencies, I spent five years as President of the League City EMS Association, where I advocated for the rights and safety of our first responders. Currently, I am applying my skills at a top-tier regional EMS provider while finishing a degree in EMS Administration to better navigate the complexities of local government and public safety. My history is one of action, and I am ready to bring that reliability to the council. @ 2026 Paid for by the Robert Bruce Campaign.

Belief & Family

Authentic service goes beyond a mere position; it involves creating a superior environment for everyone in our town. During my years here, I have consistently found paths to support League City’s progress away from the public eye. Whether mentoring children on the Little League Board or addressing residential issues as an HOA President, I have remained a practical contributor to our local development. I am running for a City Council position to champion your interests with the same vigor and honesty I have displayed during my long history in the public sector of our community.

Emily and I have been happily married for 13 years, and our 16-year-old son is a student at Dickinson High School. He maintains an incredibly active schedule in baseball and FFA, competing on the Wildlife, Stock Show, and Clay Shooting teams while also raising livestock. In keeping with that dedication to our community, my wife serves on the Baseball Booster Club, the Galveston County Fair and Rodeo, and both the HLSR Houston Metro Go-Texan (Galveston Chapter) and Special Children's committees, and volunteers for various other high school programs. My family has always stood by me through every endeavor, just as I have for them. I could not be prouder of the family I have been blessed to share my life with for all these years.

Ethical Focus Today

My worldview revolves around the concept of personal responsibility: your results match your work. By exerting the energy, looking after your kin, and maintaining your honor, you welcome prosperity. My style of Servant Leadership uses this foundation, making sure I stay dedicated to the requirements of League City.

Guiding With Purposeful Altruism

My choice to run for this seat originates from a profound urge to empower the citizens around me. I have dedicated my career to working quietly to assist others, driven by the philosophy that authentic pioneers put the health of their neighbors above personal advancement. I am dedicated to this noble path of leadership, seeing to it that League City always strives for the highest standards.

My objective is to serve League City citizens with total honesty. I look forward to your input as we build a better future.
