DEDICATED STEWARD

A Lifelong Legacy

Robert Bruce has made serving the community his life's mission. Following his upbringing in La Porte and high school graduation in 2002, he moved to League City where he found a calling in healthcare. He studied at San Jacinto College and began a journey in medical service in 2004 as an EMT volunteer. For two decades, he has worked within emergency services, embracing high-stakes leadership roles. Transitioning to professional service in 2009, he became a full-time staff member by 2013 and earned Paramedic certification in 2015. His career includes serving as a Shift Captain for five years. Beyond emergency response, he spent five years as President of the League City EMS Association, advocating for the safety of first responders. Currently, he serves at a premier regional EMS provider while completing a degree in EMS Administration to better understand local government and public safety. His record is one of consistent action, and he is prepared to bring that reliability to the city council. @ 2026 Paid for by the Robert Bruce Campaign.

Belief & Family

True stewardship transcends any single title; it is about building a flourishing environment for every resident. Throughout his time here, Robert has consistently sought ways to foster the growth of League City behind the scenes. Whether he was guiding youth on the Little League Board or resolving neighborhood concerns as an HOA President, he has remained a hands-on contributor to local progress. Robert is seeking a City Council seat to advocate for voter priorities with the same integrity and passion he has demonstrated during his extensive career in our community's public sector.

Robert and his wife Emily have been happily married for 13 years, raising their 16-year-old son who attends Dickinson High School. Their son maintains an active schedule in baseball and FFA, competing on the Wildlife, Stock Show, and Clay Shooting teams while also raising livestock. Mirroring this dedication to the community, Emily serves on the Baseball Booster Club and the Galveston County Fair and Rodeo. She also contributes to the HLSR Houston Metro Go-Texan (Galveston Chapter) and Special Children’s committees, alongside volunteering for various high school programs. Robert's family has always stood by him through every endeavor, just as he has for them. He is incredibly proud of the family he shares his life with.
